Villa Candia is a 400-year-old manor house with a spectacular hillside position in Umbrian truffle country.

When we first saw it in 2004, the house had been abandoned for more than 50 years and was in ruins. Today it has been completely rebuilt using the original materials and the finest craftsmanship. Read about the history of Villa Candia and see photos of the reconstruction process.

Today Villa Candia is an oasis of peace and tranquility, with the incredible quiet of the Umbrian countryside, yet close to all of Umbria and Tuscany.

Take a swim before dining al fresco, overlooking the unspoiled Piccione Vally in the foothills of the Apennines.

Come stay with us and enjoy the finest in Italian country living, close to major cities yet with the privacy that only the Italian countryside can offer.
